What are you going to do?

The Functional Administrator plays the central role in the functional management of our growing company. You receive notifications from our users about disruptions and improvement requirements. Through your extensive knowledge of our organization, our processes and our market (we will help you acquire this if necessary), you know how to clearly identify the nature, background and impact of these and provide a timely and appropriate solution.

You do this by analyzing data and message traffic and, if necessary, forwarding information to our application management partners, after which you monitor their progress in terms of content and process. Because of your proactive attitude, you prevent some of the disruptions before they even occur.

In addition, you are able to draw up clear business cases for the management of our business and convert these into concrete change proposals and/or functional designs. You do the same for self-identified improvement proposals or structural solution proposals for repeatedly occurring issues (problem management). These improvement proposals can include operational processes, application(s) and application management processes.

For ongoing change requests (projects/changes), you monitor progress and coordinate/support acceptance testing. In addition, you ensure that their implementation is flawless and without unnecessary impact.

Your duties summarized:

  • 1e Line support (intake on new issues)
  • Identify, analyze and evaluate existing business processes, systems and workflows to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Design, document and implement optimized business processes, ensure effective communication and change management throughout the organization.
  • Answering user questions regarding application operation and information flows
  • Monitor ongoing issues (incident management)
  • Problem management -> identify repeated issues and propose structural solutions
  • Creation and maintenance of functional and technical documentation (work instructions, process flows, landscape sheets, etc.)
  • Coordinate and support user acceptance testing

You recognize yourself in this

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in Functional Management or a technical content Key User role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Skilled in mapping processes
  • You have some powers of persuasion (you must be able to create support for (process) changes).
  • You can think and prioritize across departments. That means you can oversee coherence in the various steps in our business process and assess the impact of disruptions and changes.
  • You are able to clearly translate user notifications into concrete tickets for our external FAB/TAB partners (administrators and developers)
  • Experience in change management and driving organizational transformation
  • Knowledge of the energy market is a plus
