New team members: new experiences, backgrounds and areas of expertise
Not long ago, Enshore welcomed three new team members with diverse backgrounds and experiences. In this blog, we'd like to introduce you to Wilbert, Szebasztián and Patrick, and share their journey at Enshore so far, including their experiences and how they got here.
Wilbert Hilhorst
My name is Wilbert Hilhorst. I am 28 years old and live in beautiful Groningen. Two months ago I started working as a Security Consultant at Enshore Security, collaborating on all kinds of information security issues.
So far, I am having a great time at Enshore! The working atmosphere is good and because we are a relatively small team you get opportunities to develop yourself in the areas that interest you. For example, in my first week I was already allowed to join the external audit of a customer. At another customer, I am working on an ISO27001 implementation.

Before joining Enshore, I was employed at myBrand Conclusion. First as an SAP Authorization Consultant, and later as a Security Consultant. So information security is not new to me, but at Enshore the focus is more on advising customers rather than internal work. So that's one of the reasons I chose Enshore. In addition, I wanted to work a little closer to home and Enshore gave me the best feeling during the application process!
Szebasztián Tófalvi
My name is Szebasztián and I am an ERP Consultant at Enshore. I moved from Hungary to the Netherlands 1.5 years ago and at that time I worked at Ikea Groningen for one year. Between my graduation and moving to Groningen I worked one year as an accounting intern. Here I was responsible for the fixed assets and GRNI accounts of aviation related companies. After that I started as a Junior Auditor. I worked for several clients and mainly focused on testing journal entries, sales and fixed assets.
I was always interested in IT and during my previous jobs I was already using Oracle ERP, so I was familiar with the system to some extent. I heard about Enshore through word of mouth; the person told me in a nutshell how the company works. I immediately felt that this was the right fit for me. During my conversation with Marten and Iris, I realized how the ideal image of my perfect workplace could become reality. The conversation was very friendly, more in the form of a discussion, which I really liked!

I am at the beginning of my career, so I need a lot of help from team members, which I receive without any hesitation. The work can be challenging at times, as different client problems require different approaches, but I enjoy the diversity in my work. I feel that the opportunity to develop is very great. I love my time at Enshore so far. I enjoy the work and the team members are incredibly friendly. There are many activities besides work, unfortunately right now I am still busy writing my Master's thesis, but I can't wait until I can fully enjoy what Enshore has to offer!
Patrick Rurenga-Gard
My name is Patrick Rurenga-Gard, I am 48 years old and I am from Groningen. Since September 2023 I have been working at Enshore Security as a Security Consultant.
In my career, of now 27 years, I have mainly held positions in healthcare, but also in pharmacy, chemistry, microbiology and, as an outlier, greenhouse horticulture, where I have been an executive for the last 12 years.
In late 2022, I decided to make a switch to IT, especially the security side. After taking a course at IT Management Group, I started applying and ended up at Enshore. Partly because a traineeship was offered, I thought it would be a great opportunity to work in this field.
So far I like it very much! Enshore takes good care of its employees and something is regularly organized. I also like the freedom to work from home or at the office. At IT security all team members have different backgrounds, this complements each other well so that a basis has been created for a close-knit team!
All in all, I enjoy working here and am glad I made the switch to IT.
